Borders for Playgrounds
Playground borders not only define the area of play, they also contain wood or rubber playground mulch that keep kids safer. Borders for playgrounds can be either plastic, rubber or wood. Many playground owner / operators are moving away from wood playground edging because of splinters and rotting and are moving to plastic playground edging or rubber edging. Installing plastic playground borders is actually quite simple as you lay out the playground design and pin it in shape with the border spikes. When the design is where you want in, the just pound the metal playground spikes in the ground and add the playground safety surfacing.
Installing rubber playground is a little more involved due the the additional weight of the rubber playground edging and in many instances the hole for the anchor needs to be drilled.
